Madam President
Another productive month for our Club!

It was great to see Josie back at the Fellowship dinner last this month, and wonderful to have prospective members attend as well.
The quiz was a great way to learn about Rotary and connect with others.

The Club has various projects coming up in the near future so please be sure you stay connected and put up your hand when we need help.
Together, we can build a village.

Then there was a quiz which had the room buzzing as people worked in teams. Congratulations to Chris and Karolina who starred.

RORP NEWS:
In an exciting breakthrough, thanks to Anwar Alishek, an honorary member of our club, we have obtained a storage site for playgrounds in the west.

Peter Cribb has been in discussio0ns with Munir Abdulhai at the Mosque in Rockbank and they have agreed to allow us site storage. An MoU is to be established to safeguard all parties and with playground harvests already scheduled for coming months, this is a great outcome.
You will have read of DG Peter's message in Networker, and Peter's article too.
New member John Farmery has offered to take on the role of creating plans and markups for us, and Jean Turnbull has offered her assistance as well.

Club trip to Nepal and Sri Lanka:
This week we have been finalising preparations for the trip including collecting a large donation of beanies, socks and warm jackets from DiK.  We are supporting students at 4 rural schools with the Global Grant supported education program, 120 students now.
The teachers have requested warm clothing and stationery so we are collecting and packing.  Each delegate will take some items/or a full case depending on luggage allowances.

We haven't forgotten Sputnik in Sri Lanka either.  They have requested pencils, games and puzzles, tshirts and these will be delivered to Kit at Colombo as we stopover.

Many thanks to Vinh, Rui and Fran for their help packing today.
