Building on from the relationship whereby job seekers are placed at the OpShop and benefit from the expertise of Manager Melina Caccetta, Joanne and Teresa came up with a plan.
Our volunteers suggested that the Food Pantry could also include toiletries and sanitary items so, Joanne and Teresa took the challenge and put a call out to their reps. Today, they visited the shop with 6 cartons of donated items to the amazement of Mel, Barbara, Deb and Louise!
I took the opportunity to share with them some of the other connections we have including Donations in Kind and RIMERN. Joanne asked for a newsletter so she could share - another network in the making?
